T’s Competition/Training Camp Dates for 2022 Thus Far

I wanted to give everyone the list of all the comps/training camps T has so far for 2022:

1. AAU NC National Qualifier January 15th - ✅ Won Gold🥇 

2.  USAT Eastern Academy Training Camp January 28th-30th

3.  AAU VA National Qualifier February 19th 

4.  AAU Maryland National Qualifier April 9th

5.  AAU SC National Qualifier April 23rd

6.  Georgia Rumble May 21st ? 

7.  USAT Grand Prix Date and Place TBD (thinking sometime in June)

8.  AAU Nationals Las Vegas July 4th-9th 

9.  USAT Nationals Date and Place TBD (should happen end of  July/August time frame)

Just wanted to let everyone know so they could keep us all in their prayers as we travel and T competes. 

Orthodontist Appointment Today

T’s Ortho appointment went well today. They were pleased with how his teeth are doing and how well he’s brushing his teeth😊. He choose teal this time for his band color. 

UPDATE:  He’s a whining 😩 in pain. They had to put three connected bands on two of his back teeth. On either side so the teeth would turn into the correct position. Ouch 😣!!! 

New Radiator For The Truck

The boys had a busy day today taking a radiator off the truck and putting a new radiator in. Scot noticed a crack in it this morning. More than likely the freezing temps caused it. T’s school for the day was learning life skills he’ll carry with him all of his life. #homeschoolWin 

Meet Earle

Earle is a 26 year old staghorn fern that traveled from Florida to Magnolia Market (Chip and Joanna Gaines) in Texas. This is the biggest fern I’ve ever seen.

Winter Storm Jasper 2022 Take Two!

We had some fun in the snow today and I got some cool pics😊. T hasn’t had snow to play in like this since he was 8-9 years old. Now we are all inside staying warm😊.

Looks like we might end up getting the 4-6” that Brad Panovich said we’d probably get. We are probably at 3” now. A friend posted this pic of downtown Wendell on social media and I wanted to share it here because it’s so beautiful. It was taken about 11pm.

AAU North Carolina State Qualifier Pics from Video

I got these screen shots from the video for everyone to see. At least two of these kicks were not given to T and he clearly got the headshot too. These are a little blurry because they are screen shots from a video. 

This last one is the beautiful foot on head of the opponent from his spinning hook kick. 

T is loving 🥰 this win after not having sparred in almost a year. He’s loving watching and rewatching his video so he can fix his mistakes and do even better if they fight again. 

Pine Tree Down….Yeah!!!

We’ve had a pine tree leaning for months now and with this storm system it finally fell….Yeah!!!  Now we get to cut and burn 🔥 it tomorrow when this weather system is gone😊. 

I haven’t been able to park in my spot for months and now I’ll get to park in it again🙌🙌🙌!!!  Here’s to hoping we can get it to burn 🔥 tomorrow. If not we’ll stack it and have it ready to burn 🔥 at later date. The only thing that may keep us from burning 🔥 it will be how damp the tree is and how windy 🌬 it is. 

T’s Video From Yesterday

Here’s T’s fight from yesterday. It wasn’t a WOW fight with lots of fancy moves but it was a smart fight and a great win for T. Every time T has faced this opponent when he was a youth this opponent beat him but T beat this kid yesterday and he was loving every moment of it. And this kid is on a really good sparring team that in the past T has been very challenged and found it hard to beat any opponent with this particular team. This is going to be T’s year!!!  We are excited for every opportunity that’s before him this year!!!  He’s a last year cadet and we are looking forward to seeing all he’s going to accomplish.
