Training this past Weekend!

Lots of hard training this weekend. Much to still work on. I put together a Quik video to share with you. It will move through fairly quickly. If I were to share it all in normal playback it would be very lengthy so enjoy this short fast moving video of T training this past weekend.

Training so far this week...

T is training hard. He has much to still work on. This video shows him kicking on the wave master at the Dojang. He really is trying to do everything his Master asks of him. Breaking bad habits is hard and frustrating for him because some of what he’s dealing with is bad muscle memory. He got mad at himself yesterday because he wants so badly to do everything the way his Master wants. He will get there. He just has to do a ton of retraining not only his body but his mind as well. His goal right now is to break the bad habits so he can move forward.

Sleep Where Are You???

People above us have heavy feet. Didn’t get much sleep last night. The life of living on the go all the time with T’s training and fighting schedule.

When Momma’s Away...

Scot’s at home working and taking care of Tucker while I’m with T while he trains. Tucker knows which one of us is the push over...LOL!  Check out the picture below.

Yep he’s on my furniture. He doesn’t even attempt getting on it when I’m home...LOL! And Yep that’s his toy right there beside him. He’s such a spoiled puppy dog.

Fresh haircut and Tourney Update

T got a fresh haircut today. He is now signed up for USAT VA and so far has four opponents in his bracket. Including him it makes a total of five in the bracket. There’s still a little while yet before the sign up for competition is closed so we’ll be keeping an eye on it to see if any others sign up. Here’s a pic of his fresh haircut.

Team Training Tonight

Master Wasiu had lots to say to the kids about improvements in how they fight. Hoping T was listening closely and took what he had to say to heart and will make necessary changes in how he fights so that he can continue to get better and fight better when he goes to tournaments. TaeKwonDo (TKD) Sparring is hard work. T has learned so much and it hasn’t even been a year yet that he’s been with Carolina Kicks. He still has so much to learn as he grows in this sport. He’s really trying to focus and learn and grow as a TKD fighter. He’s learning so much at such a young age and growing up so fast. It’s a lot for a 10 year old to take in and he’s doing the best he can for his age. As he gets older and matures he’ll hone in on things more and more and become a much better fighter than he already is. I’m excited to see what his future will be in this sport. He loves TKD so much.

Our Home away from Home

When T and I left for Matthews earlier today Tucker tried to get in the car and go with us. That dog is going to miss his T.   T and I are back in Matthews now, unpacked, and settling in for our stay while T trains. We had an early dinner and he is ready for training tonight with the team.

Matthews Bound until the 14th

We leave in the morning to head to Matthews until the 14th for training.  After this weekend T wants to correct some things so he can get better and grow as a good competitor in this sport.  Always a work in progress.  There's always things to improve on.  Tucker sure will miss his T but at least he will have Scot to hang out with...LOL!

T’s 2nd Love

Besides fighting T loves riding his dirt bike. Unfortunately he didn’t get the chance he wanted today to ride because we need to get a new tire for his bike and that won’t happen until tomorrow.
