Today T is officially a teenager. Happy 13th Birthday 🥳🎂🎊🎈🎉!!! His dad and I love him so much and are so proud of him!!! #turning13 #officiallyateenager #teeninthehouse

He is now a full black belt. No more poom belt for him. 

He wanted a new curved monitor for gaming. 

He wanted a better gaming mouse so we got him a red dragon gaming mouse. It’s supposed to be one of the best on the market. 

Mother’s Day 5/9/2021

Mother’s Day is always extra special for me because the year T was born was actually on Mother’s Day. Since Tuesday is his birthday (he’ll be an official teenager) and today Mother’s Day we’ll split the difference and celebrate both as a family tomorrow. But today I got to chill and watch my guys work as a team and put a new trampoline together. His old one ripped last summer but T got great use out of it. We’ve had the trampoline sitting in the garage for a while and just finally had the chance to get it put together today.

They work really well together. 



I was holding the boxes so the crazy wind 💨 wouldn’t blow them away today…LOL!

Training @ Master Doug’s Core TaeKwonDo Dojang 5/8/2021

T’s Eye Exam

T’s vision has changed a little so we have to go to Lens Crafters and see about new lenses/glasses. We also found out that T is in fact color blind. He has what they called a red green deficiency. He can actually see green really well but doesn’t see yellows, purples, pinks, oranges, and reds as well. He’s learned over the years what a red and blue chest gear and head gear are from TaeKwonDo but he doesn’t see the colors the same as we do. We’ve been learning a lot about our son and what he can and can’t see as far as colors recently. So now we work on helping him know the colors based on how his eyes see them so he can train his brain to know them that way even though he can’t really see them. He’s also complained a ton about his eyes burning recently so we had that checked out and he has dry eyes so he now has eye drops he’ll be carrying around to use for that as well. We are certain the dry eyes are coming from all the screen time he’s had since we went to all online learning. He’ll need to take more small breaks away from the screen to help fix that problem. Always something new to deal with but we always take it in stride and deal with it together. One thing we can most definitely say is life is never boring. These are the frames he’s chosen. 

Tucker Boy

Tucker has been all about his momma since I came home injured…LOL! He gave Scot the evil eyes when he took this picture…LOL! 

My New L👀k

The new l👀k I’m sporting😁. Better support and easier to get around in😁. Still using crutches as well. Still can’t put full weight on it. 

It turns out after a second check, now that the swelling has gone down, that it really is just a severely sprained ankle and knee. If it’s not better in a couple of weeks we revisit things with Ortho but it’s going to be better!  

Another update on my leg

Just found this bruise today and that’s on the back of my knee. It looks the best but hurts as bad as the bruises on my foot and lower leg. Go figure. Go to my primary doc for a recheck tomorrow. I expect she’ll take more X-rays. Have to get her referral for ortho. Then when I go to Ortho it could be two or possibly even three different specialists that I may have to see for this leg and foot. What ever happen to the days when an Ortho doc took care of any affected areas???  Now it’s a specialist for this area and that area🙄. What a total pain. We’ll see what gets said from my doc tomorrow. 

Handrails

We have an entire set of handrails leading up to the new deck now. Woohoo 🙌🏼!!!  Little be little the rest of the railing will get done this summer in between all that T has going on with TaeKwonDo and Scot with work. 

Back at it

Working on the deck again now that we have warm weather again. I just wish that I was able to help. Scot and T make a good team. They are getting the railing for the stairs up today. Hoping by fall it will be completely done. We have so much on our plate that things have to get done a little at a time. This picture I had to take from the window of the guest bedroom.
