Current Situation

This is just to repair one small area. He’ll have to come back another day to paint the entire ceiling and will have to mask everything off at that point😳.

Getting Stronger!

T is working on strengthening his hips, quads, groin, and knee muscles. He’s getting stronger.

T is big time in the throws of puberty. So much changing and growing going on really fast. The chiropractor said that’s most definitely why he’s popping his hip out so easily and causing muscle strain to his groin. His muscles are stretching because of the bone growth going on and it makes those areas vulnerable. It’s all a part of growing up but I don’t want him to grow up😭.

This video is what he and his coach have been working on to help him get stronger.

Psalm 40

Psalm 40 is highly recommended if you are in fear (especially those in fear from this pandemic), trials or need security. The LORD will bring you up, set your feet on the solid rock, establish your steps and put a new song in your mouth.  Place your trust in Him.  Amen!

The Flexibility of This Kiddo😳

He did a ton of stretching today. His coach is having him do a ton of stretching to help his leg/groin area heal up much faster. T is ready to be kicking again because it feels good but his coach wants him to wait until Monday. I wish my body could still move like that...LOL!

Deck is L👀king Goooood!!!

Second coat of color stain is on the deck and now we let it cure. Scot and I work well together😁. Love having a husband who knows how to do so much and is willing to let me work along side him. #projectbuddies #geterdone

I also color stained the posts as well.

I’ll have to do the under side tomorrow. Letting this cure. I stained these first thing this morning. Then I took to getting the second coat on the deck with Scot’s help. It’s all coming together so nicely.

This Happened Today

So we finished the deck sanding, blew off all the debris, and color stained the deck.

Living in the country you can’t do work of this nature without some visitors as you’ll see in the pic below. I’m sure he has a gray belly now...LOL!

I actually did stain the deck as well even though there are no pictures to prove it...LOL!  I’m the photographer in the family so any pictures that get taken are done by me. So glad to be to this stage with the deck. Praying it doesn’t get too cool too fast and the deck gets dry before dew starts trying to set in. It really looks fantastic though. Hoping we don’t need to do a second coat. We’ll see tomorrow once it’s had some time to cure.

T’s Right Leg

Well T had a chiropractor appointment today. He has been limping after he tweaked his leg on Saturday while kicking Bob. His right hip was out. The Chiropractor had to do laser treatment on his hip, groin, low back, and QL muscles in his back. He wants him to do no training tomorrow and to do training without kicking Bob on Wednesday.  Then he wants him to ease back into kicking with Bob again on Thursday. And as long as he doesn’t reinjure it he can do a little more with Bob each day. T is scheduled for another laser treatment on Tuesday, October 13th to see how he is healing. The things we do for our elite athletes in training. He should bounce back quickly though.

Lots of 1st

Lots of firsts for this kiddo this year. He’s learned how to properly use a chain saw, chop saw, circular saw, power drill, and now a belt sander. Lots of learning going on with this pandemic. #2020theyearofpower #chachachachanges #growingup #becomingmoreofaman

Unfortunately I didn’t get pictures of him using them all but I almost did😁.

Deck Cleaning

Scot is cleaning the deck and getting it ready for color staining.  Cleaning has been more of a challenge on the older wood (the framing wood) than Scot expected. Can’t wait to post pictures once we get it all stained. After staining we will start on the rails but those will be installed one kit at a time. The aluminum kits are pricey so it may be one kit a week until it’s all installed.
