1st Fall
Timmy had his first fall last night (2-9-09). He was playing in his high chair and decided to lean over the side of the high chair and he leaned a little too far and over he went. I totally freaked out of course. Scot said I handled it better than he thought I would. Timmy's front top tooth bled a little and other than that he was fine. I checked him over very carefully to make sure that he didn't have anything broken. We were blessed because he could have been hurt really bad but he wasn't. Of course, now I'm making sure he is buckled in good. We are so glad that we are faithful to pray over Timmy because we know it was God who kept him safe from any real harm. We praise God for his protection over us. What an awesome God we serve!!!

Tales of Teeth and the Crib
OMW, Timmy has his four front teeth now. He got three of them in a matter of a couple of weeks. He has learned to grit his teeth....ugh. It sounds like finger nails on a chalk board and send chills up my spine...lol.
Anyhow, that's not the only interesting thing he's learned. He has been pulling up on things for weeks but he hadn't tried doing it in his crib yet which has been a blessing. We made it almost nine months without having to take down the mobile over his crib or having to lower the mattress but now it's time. We have had to baby proof the crib. We've had to take it from it's corner position and put it against the wall. We're putting a couple of body pillows on the floor just in case he figures out how to climb out...lol. We've lowered the mattress and removed his mobile. I will post some pictures of how we found him this morning later so you will know why we've had to do what we've done.
The little booger is getting so active now. He's not crawling yet but he sure finds a way to get to where he wants to go and get to whatever it is that he wants...lol.
I'll post some pictures later of how we found him this morning and if I can snap a picture of his four teeth I'll post it too.

Snow and Teething
It's hard to believe that we had so much snow the other day. It is all melting away now. The roads are clear and most of the snow in our yard has melted except what is in the back of our house and that's only because the sun hardly shines back there. I hope we see more of the white fluffy stuff before the winter is over.
As you all know, Timmy got his second tooth this week. Well, we noticed last night that his top two front teeth are also coming in. Timmy's been such a bear the past few days that I knew it was more than just that one tooth. When I saw last night that his upper two were coming in I knew why he had been such a bear. I'd be fussy too if I had that much pain going on in my mouth at one time. Thank God for Motrin though because it takes the edge off the pain. I wish it took it all away. I hate that he's in pain and I can't take it away:-( but the up side to it all is that he will soon have four teeth. It will be cool if they are all in good enough for when we do his 9 month milestone pictures.

2nd Tooth
Timmy has been a bear for a couple of days now and he finally cut his second tooth tonight. I was so glad to see it cut through his gums. Now he has two bottom teeth. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!! It will probably be a while before I'm able to post a picture of his new tooth. I'm so proud of him because even though he was a bear with cutting this tooth it was nothing like it was with the first tooth. Scot and I lost sleep when he was cutting his first tooth. We were better prepared this time around and knew what to do to help him sleep while cutting this tooth. Motrin is a wonderful thing. I'm not big on giving kids drugs but to keep my sanity, help his pain, and help him sleep I'll give him the Motrin. Tylenol doesn't touch the pain but Motrin does. The only bad thing is that babies have to be at least 6 months old to be able to take the Motrin. I feel for the moms with babies cutting teeth at three months old and all they can give them is Tylenol. Praise God that Timmy didn't cut his first tooth until he was almost seven months old. Anyhow, I just thought you would might want to know about his second tooth. Talk at ya later.
