Tornado hits Raleigh

Here are some pictures that I swiped from some friends of mine of the damage that the tornado did as it came through Raleigh today.

~Lisa, Scot, & Tim said...: It didn't hit us but it was probably within a mile in a half of us. It didn't go near our old place either. It started at South Saunders Street, went through downtown, and took a track up Capital Blvd towards Wake Forst. PTL that only one or two in our church congregation was hit. We took up an offering to help them out. Samaritans Purse has set up a headquarter near where they live to help all the victims effected by the storm.; April 20, 2011 at 5:37 AM

Heaven's Gain Our Loss

Louise Holcomb Speckhart, 51, entered into her Heavenly home on Thursday, January 11, 2024. I take comfort in knowing that we will see one another in Heaven someday. This hymn has been on my mind since her passing. "When We All Get To Heaven": Sing the wondrous love of Jesus, Sing His mercy and His grace; In the mansions bright and blessed He'll prepare for us a place. When we all get to Heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We'll sing and shout the victory! While we walk the pilgrim pathway, Clouds will overspread the sky; But when trav'ling days are over, Not a shadow, not a sigh.
