T’s Buddy Chris!
T’s buddy, Chris, was asked to represent USA TaeKwonDo at the French ECOpen early this month. He fought four fights and won Gold! We are so excited and proud of him. Way to go Chris!

Training and Haircut
T had a good couple of days training with the team. Some of the members of the team have shown him weaknesses that he needs to work on and he’s also in return shown them what they need to work on. It’s all about teamwork and making one another better for competition. So glad that he’s enjoying being back at it so much. The down time has ended up being a reset of sorts for him. He’s coming back stronger and he’ll be faster as he trains more in the coming weeks and months.

I had all I could stand with his hair looking all raggedy so I took him to his Barber LaMeek today and T and I reached a compromise thanks to LaMeek. He’s such an awesome Barber.

Body Coach Workout Yesterday
Here’s a partial video of some of the workouts that T does with his body’s coach. He is really enjoying getting his endurance up and getting his core stronger. So thankful for being able to get a body coach for T. It has been key 🗝 to his recovering faster after the injuries he had this past summer. It’s made it possible for him to return to full on TaeKwonDo Sparring training a whole lot sooner. What a game changer this has been for T plus the body coach has been educating us on things as well. With injuries comes learning and we’ve learned a lot in recent months.
T is loving getting back into full on training. There’s nothing more that makes a parent happy than to see their kid(s) doing what they love and growing while doing it. T has matured so much over these past several months. He is no longer my little boy 👦 he’s become quite a young man👨 . We are so proud of the young man 👨 he’s becoming. He’s not only growing in his craft but he’s also growing in the Lord too. That touches our hearts 💕 more than anything. It’s our constant prayer 🙏 that his heart ♥️ will always be towards the Lord and that he will continue to grow in his knowledge and love for the Lord everyday by staying in His Word and seeking the Lord in prayer 🙏. In this crazy world we are living in that is key 🗝 to his survival and being a strong 💪 warrior for the Lord.

Training Yesterday
We did a cross training at WOW TaeKwonDo with Core TaeKwonDo. T is improving more and more. He has a lot to still work on/through but is coming back strong and possibly even stronger than he was before all his injuries this past summer. Here are some pics I got of him yesterday. He started off in his mask but it got so soaked with sweat that he couldn’t breathe and had to take it off. We are going to have to buy him another one, maybe even two, to train in. So incredibly proud of all this kids hard work not only in sparring training but in school, his regular TaeKwonDo training, and his training with his body coach. We wanna make sure what happened this past summer never happens to T again. As we’ve gone through this TaeKwonDo journey with T we have learned a lot more than we ever bargained for but are glad and thankful for what we’ve learned. It’s been lessons we will never forget. Enjoy the pics.

We are looking forward to seeing where T is in his training as he moves forward in training with both Master Wasiu and Master Doug. T really likes both coaches and is thankful for all the help and guidance that he gets from them.
In this next few photos you’ll see Master Doug (from Core TaeKwonDo which is located local to our home) working with T:

Cary Band Day Yesterday
Here are some pics we got of Tristan at Cary Band Day yesterday. So proud of this kid right now!!! He’s done great with this commitment this year. His precision on the field is so incredibly on point. I am secretly keep hoping he’ll decide to do this again next year but he doesn’t want to at this point. He may switch to concert band. He’s been doing both from what I’ve been told. I do my best to show up and support him when I have knowledge of what he’s doing. I’ve really enjoyed watching him and getting such great shots of him. Don’t know if I’ll be able to do the same for concert band. We’ll see.

Tristan
I am so incredibly proud of my nephew, Tristan. He has done such an awesome job in the marching band this year. The marching band season is almost over. He has one band day left plus two Christmas parades to do. He will still be doing concert band as well. I’m hoping to get to see his next band concert in December. With all this kid has had to deal with in his young life I’m so proud of the positive he is doing for himself. He’s smart and makes good grades too. I’m looking forward to seeing how he turns all the negatives into positives as he grows into a man. #proudaunt
More pics from the Wedding of Iris and Nova
Nova is my youngest niece. She is Iris’s full blood sister, Tristan’s half sister, and Gina’s daughter. She is adorable. The family situation isn’t an ideal one but she’s is a cutie pie. Kids don’t ask to be born into this world. We make decisions to have them. Sometimes it’s not the best of circumstances, as is the case with these kids, but I continue to pray for them all and do my best to be a positive influence in their lives when I have the opportunity.
