Mine, Scot and Tim's Caricatures...

You decide which of Tim's you like best.

Graduation To Do List....

This is just one part of what I'm having to do for his Homeschool Graduation from our Homeschool Group.  I've already filled out all the information for his diploma, next is choosing 5 pics from birth to now (that took some time to sift through the pics to use), after that is Tim's bio for the program (which I've gotten done) they will be giving out at the door, then there's our speech that has to be done.  I pretty much have it all done although I keep going back and tweaking it.  So excited for Tim to be done with this portion of his life so that he can move on to what's next for him and for now that will be working with his Dad learning/growing the business and continuing to train and do weightlifting Meets.

Today's Verse...

Trials aren’t presented as optional in this passage — they’re assumed. What is commanded is our response.

James calls believers to count trials as joy, not because hardship is good, but because God uses testing to produce endurance. And endurance, when allowed to complete its work, leads to maturity and spiritual wholeness.

Notice the progression in the text:
testing → endurance → maturity.

Careful observation helps us see that God’s purpose in trials is not to break us, but to grow us.

🖊️ When pressure comes, do you ask God to remove it — or to complete His work through it?

Homeschool Bowling Social last Wednesday...

Tim had a great time at the homeschool bowling social last Wednesday. After the ice from the weekend before everyone was ready to get out of their homes for a bit before the next weather system of snow came in. Here's some pictures:

Snow (from Saturday)...

We ended up with 5" of snow in Wendell, NC. Here's a picture of our flag blowing in the wind as the snowfall came down.

Learning to Drive in the Snow...

We took Tim out on Sunday after it snowed on Saturday for him to learn to drive in the snow.  He did really good driving in the snow.  There's always chances for learning experiences you just have to make the time when circumstances allow for them.  He's always learning something new that will help him navigate life as a man.

Boy Probs....

We did this last night after getting home from Tim's training session. He's almost 18 years old and instead of going through stuff periodically and taking out what he can't wear anymore he just kept piling more clothes on top - and he laughed about this too btw.  Everyone is like that's a boy for you. To me that's just pure laziness. He has tons of space in his drawers for clothes now🙄.  Never a dull moment being a boy mom, that's for sure.

Verse of the Day...

Precept Ministries made this post on social media and I wanted to share it here:

Do you ever feel like the darkness in life is too overwhelming?

David celebrates God as the one who lights his path, giving strength to overcome obstacles. By God’s power, he can “run against a troop” and “leap over a wall.” His Word is trustworthy, His way is perfect.

God doesn’t just give light for the moment—we can lean on His guidance and step forward in faith every day.

Life Goes On....

I'm so excited for Tim's graduation coming up in May but it also saddens my heart because both his grandparents are gone and will be missed deeply at the ceremony.  When I think of that my heart aches.  My husband's parents were more parents to me than my own ever were.  Even more than that they were absolutely wonderful to Tim.  He loved them so much.  I'm so very thankful for the years that Tim got to have with them making memories that will last him all his life.  They are gone but they are never forgotten.  They are always in our hearts and memories.
