Dragon Launch 2020

We got to watch the launch today and we are looking forward to seeing the docking with the space station in the morning. At least we hope we get to see the docking. Here’s some pictures we took while watching on our tv.

Here’s a video I took from my cell phone of the launch on tv earlier today:

This was the first manned launch that T has seen live. I’m sure it will be the first of many for him.

Getting Back At It

T is getting back at it. He’s been anxious to be able to train. Today, for the first time in about a month, he did some running, jump rope, stretching, pushups, crunches, and a little bit of control kicking to build strength and cardio back up from having been down from his hip, low back, leg injury. He’s feeling really good. He has some soreness but that’s to be expected when he had to take a break for his body to heal. He’s so excited to have been able to do anything. He’s glad to be on the other side of his injury now. It’s been a little bit of a journey to get here and this week coming up is dedicated to cardio and strength exercises so that the following week he can be ready to really get back to work while continuing to build upon his cardio and strength training.

Launch America

We are so excited about #LaunchAmerica. We are really hoping that the weather holds out and they don’t get scrubbed from launching a second time.

Here’s some information on the launch that is to take place:

Nearing Returning To Training

T is nearing being able to return to training. Loving that he’s feeling more back to normal. In our world you know he’s feeling spry when he starts trying to use us as TaeKwonDo kicking pads...LOL!  Glad his hip, low back, and leg has gotten so much better. Being able to do laser therapy twice a day at home has made all the difference in the world.  It has been the tipping point to getting him feeling like normal. We have a final appointment on Tuesday for them to check him and we are praying he can get back to training again. Of course after so much down time he’ll have to build his cardio/strength back up. He’s been stretching though and his flexibility is looking really good so that’s a plus.

New Shop Lights

New shop lights are going in. It’s a process. We have a big shop. The lights are in over our wash pit at least anyhow.

Home Laser Therapy

T has advanced to home laser therapy for the next week two times a day. He gets to do a little jump roping, some stretching exercises, and strengthening exercises next week. Another step forward in his improvements and being able to get back to training. Woohoo🙌!!!

Update on T’s Leg 🦵

T had another laser therapy session today and it went well. He’s getting better each time he goes. He has another appointment on Friday. They have been focusing on his low back, hip, groin, and the two muscle groups in his quad on his left leg. This was a deeper injury this time, with other areas affected by the injury, so it’s taken a bit longer to bounce back than before. Thank God we have the extra time to take right now for his recovery without any pressing tournaments. It’s giving his body more time to heal completely in hopes that moving forward we can focus on strengthening that left side and make it as strong as the right side so we don’t have repeating injuries down the road. Strengthening is the key to getting past what he’s been dealing with in his quad muscle. It’s amazing how all those areas (hip, low back, groin, and quad muscles) work together though. One affects the other. We’ve been learning so much about those areas recently. Quite an education to say the least. That’s all we have for now. We’ll give another update as we have more to tell.
