This lovely woman’s birthday is today. T loves his Nan so much! He wishes he could be with her today to celebrate with her. She’s so proud of all he’s doing though and understands his rigid training schedule. Such a special woman who loves her grandchildren to pieces and they’d do anything for her. Happy Birthday Nan Nan!!!

Major League Baseball Player Speaker from Yesterday
CK made a post on Facebook about our special guest speaker yesterday. Here’s the post and some pictures.

Training Camp on Wednesday Part 2
More pics.

This was a good cancel from T with Brice.

T’s confidence is up. His flexibility is better. And he’s training harder than ever before. I love seeing this change in him. As he gets more in tune with his body it’s only going to get better. Looking forward to the rest of training camp and watching him growing more each day as he trains.

Training Camp On Wednesday Part 1
Here are some pics from training camp. T is loving how his body is feeling and the flexibility he now has because of the therapy session he had with Master Calvin. He goes back today for another session with him.

Greg did not get his head for a change. But T got his back with his counter.

This is another good block.

Training Last Night After a Therapy Session with Master Calvin
Master Calvin is what I would probably call a masseuse, physical therapist, and chiropractor all rolled into one. T was hurting in his glutes on his left leg after his first training camp day on Monday evening. He had to take it easy most of the day yesterday because of it and after going to get fixed up by Master Calvin he was all feeling better and kicking better and faster than Scot and I have ever seen him do. This guy is a miracle worker. We are going to do more sessions with him for T’s benefit. He’s so well respected that he travels to AAU Nationals and works on the kids/adults that are competing and even some of the AAU staff. Master Calvin told T to go train last night and he did. What Master Calvin does doesn’t have any required down time like when you go to a chiropractor. He tells his clients go train so T did. All the kids saw a difference in T especially David. He was little bit overwhelmed last night at how much better T was kicking and how much faster he was kicking. Here’s a little video clip of the difference Master Calvin made in just one visit.

Poster Picture Moment
This was hanging on the Dojang wall today when we showed up today. It was great for T to see and read this. Several other posters of his teammates are hanging in the Dojang as well. Sparring isn’t just about being able to physically beat someone but you have to have a strong mental game too. Posters like these are so encouraging for their mental game!!!
CK 2019 Training Camp Day 1
T had a good day of training today. He did great during endurance training this morning. This afternoon he overextended his leg though and he has strained a muscle in his leg and is going to see a sports therapist that specializes in stretching and massaging his muscles tomorrow. He is highly recommended and has worked with many martial artists. This was Day 1 of a two week intensive training to get ready for Nationals so we need to make sure he hasn’t done anything to injure his muscle. With the help of one of the moms we had him soak in a mineral bath tonight, I put some biofreeze on his leg, he used a roller on his leg, stretched as much as he could, and gave him some ibuprofen and he went to sleep. He is sleeping really good and we got his leg feeling a little better. I pray that after a nights rest he’ll feel tons better in the morning. Still going take him to the professional stretcher tomorrow no matter how he feels. Here are some pictures from earlier today.
Getting going with a little running.

Then the endurance training really began.

This was a cancel by T. He’s been trying so hard to get this right. These next two weeks there will be so much growth in T as a fighter. I feel breakthroughs going to be happening with this training camp for him. I’m looking forward to watching how God helps him do his best and be the best he can be in his sparring. I love his never give up attitude. It will take him far in this sport and in life. Such an amazing kiddo.

Team Training Tonight
T had a good training session tonight. His speed improved from last week when he was at training and his coach was happy about that. He said everything is good but that T needs to trust himself more. We are praying he trusts himself more after these next two weeks of training camp. I know he’s young and a lot is being asked/put on him at such a young age but his maturity level is higher than most kids his age. He can handle it though and keep pushing forward. He loves this sport and is looking forward to these two weeks of training ahead at the training camp that officially starts on Monday but he’s doing his regular team training this weekend. Y’all have a great weekend and I will do my best to post some pics of his training this week if I’m able to get any. I’m going to be in and out all week so we’ll see. God Bless You All!!!
Turtle Turtle
Today Scot pulled in the driveway at home to this guy. He wasn’t scared. He stayed right where he was and made Scot go around him to park his work truck. Scot said he was about 12” wide and 15” long. Here are the pics:

Anyone know what kind of turtle it is???
