A video of Saturday’s Training

Here’s a video of training from Saturday. They did round robin sparring.

Our Protector

Tucker was sitting outside the shop just keeping a watch on things while his dad was working…LOL!

Update on Mom

Mom had physical therapy today and because she was having sciatica issues she concentrated on helping her relax the muscle causing the issue. She thinks mom over did it on her exercises at home on Friday and that’s  why she had all her issues on Saturday. So a step backwards in order to move forward. She’s a trooper though.

Another Day Another Issue😕

Just another day. Scot is in the shop fixing an issue on the trailer that houses our carpet/rug/upholstery cleaning machine and equipment.

A video of Friday Evenings Training

Here’s a video of Friday evenings training. They did round robin sparring. T is the only one that is wearing TaeKwonDo shoes.

Photo of the Day Yesterday at Training

T got a really good headshot on one of his teammates doing a new technique that Master Wasiu is teaching them right now. They can all do this move.

T’s Buddy Chris

T’s buddy Chris was featured in a local Waxhaw magazine. So proud of this kid. T looks up to Chris so much. So thankful that T has this friendship with this young man. He’s such a great kid.

Way to Go Heel!

Oh my goodness what a game. So like crazy 😜 excited right now!!!   So loved 🥰 Coach K’s career ending losing to the Tarheels tonight but not just that but that the last two face offs with these teams ended with the Tarheels winning. What a way to go UNC!!!! So can’t wait for Monday night. Go Heels!!!!  Bring home the Big Win!!!!

Kick-A-Thon

T is participating in a Kick-A-Thon!!!

Hello everyone!  T will be participating in a kick-a-thon the first Saturday in May. This will be so that the school can raise money to purchase the electronic safety gear that is used in competition with USA TaeKwonDo. When this gear is used during training, the athletes learn how to effectively score points during competition.  Schools that train with this gear have a big advantage over schools that don’t.  To purchase a full set of gear (4 sizes of chest protectors & helmets and computer software) costs around $9,000.  We are rallying sponsors for this event.  If you would like to sponsor T any amount you can do would be greatly appreciated. The suggested amount for the kids is $1 per kick. Please make checks payable to Core TaeKwonDo.  Another option, if you don’t mind doing it, would be to Venmo or Zelle me your support and I can get it to the school. You’d need to private message me for the second option so I can give you whatever information you need to do it that way. If you want to do the first option and write a check you can send it to our address at: 6413 Robertson Pond Rd. Wendell, NC 27591 and we will turn it into the school. We are keeping a running list of names and pledge amounts so T can know how many kicks he will need to do. Let’s “go big or go home”, as the saying goes, and have T kicking a ton😁. May 4th is the deadline for sponsorship.
