Neal Family Project 2020

The guys took a doorway down and made a wall. They opened a double closet to make a walk in closet for Nan. Still not entirely completed. Hoping that when it’s completed we can get more pics of the finished project. We were able to put a huge dent in the project. Other family members will come in and sand a little, paint, do other odds and ends, and clean the space. It’s has been a group effort with Popsie at the helm to guide and direct us in order to get the space ready to eventually have a lift chair put in. So glad we had the time and opportunity to do this for them and be a blessing. Looking forward to when we can do more. #takingcareofbusiness #pandemicprojects #gettingerdone

Bittersweet Day For Us

Last year this time we were at Nationals. Even though we are with family this year celebrating the 4th T is still missing not being able to compete. He’s been making so many steps forward and it’s been a bummer for it to be halted by something that’s totally out of his control. His last tournament was US Open and even though it wasn’t a win with a medal in sparring it was still a win for T because he made so much improvement in his sparring. We are looking forward to when things get back to normal so he can do what he loves. Here’s some pictures from last year this time at Nationals. T got a Bronze for his Forms and he walked away learning a lot from his experiences in forms and sparring. #pandemicgoaway #readytogetbackatit #tkdlife

Big time excitement is building here!

Oh boy! Oh boy! Two more days and we’ll be on our way to Kentucky🥰. Mom’s room ready✅. Bathrooms ready✅. Living room, dining room, and kitchen ready✅. Washing clothes tonight and tomorrow so I can start packing✅. So excited to be getting out of here and spending time with family. I laughingly told Scot maybe we should move back up there because they’ve hardly had any cases of COVID-19 up there. Very small towns. Easy to social distance there. Would not be conducive for all T is working so hard to accomplish with his Taekwondo though😕.

These were taken of him stretching after T worked out with his coach this morning.

Kicking Fun!!!

Pay close attention to Bully Bob’s head😁.

Our Future Dream Home (Downstairs)

Scot and I were having some fun dreaming tonight. Dreaming is good for everyone. This is something we will be looking forward to doing to our house. It keeps most of what we have and builds on it. It’s a simple design that we are hoping can be done cheaper than just bulldozing and starting over at some point. We will see as we get to where we can actually do this. We add a wrap around porch with screen/glass windows and a corner fireplace. We take out the fireplace in our living room all together to accommodate the wrap around porch. We take the two bedrooms downstairs and make a Master Suite. We add a half bath for if/when we have guests. We take what used to be the old dining room and extend the kitchen. And the dining room you see in the picture is our existing dining room now which used to be the formal living room which we never used for that purpose. The upstairs stays pretty much the same with the exception of a bathroom over haul for T because the upstairs would be his domain. He’d keep his bedroom where it is. Our master would become his new kid cave. His old baby room would become his homeschool room. And we would add a whole house power backup system. But here’s the drawing we did tonight. Praying we get to do this in the near future as I’m tired of going up and down stairs so much...LOL!
