The Queen is Gone....

Today Queen Elizabeth II has passed.  She was 96 years of age.  She lived a long life.  I have always admired and respected the Queen but even more so after watching The Crown on Netflix.  It made her more normal.  It helped others see her in a different light than how we've always known her from the medias portrayals.  For one who had to take on the reigns so young in life I think she did an amazing job as Queen.  I pray those coming after her as King or Queen are worthy of the role that she most definitely was worthy of having had.  The royal family has always fascinated so many from all walks of life.  They have lived lives that most only dream of living.  For me my fascination of them is purely from a historic standpoint.  Although I hated anything to do with history in school history now has my undivided attention.  Mostly because the world has been changing so much in recent years and not in a good way.  In many ways the worlds best days are behind her.  Yes I know we've seen many really great innovative changes over the years that have been good but morally the world over all is wasting away.  The Queens death leaves in its wake yet another steady that people clung to that now is gone.  The steady strong people who have been forces in our cultures and world are all fading away and leaving a weaker presence in those who are taking their places that can't even hold a candle to those who have gone before.  One last time as I bid farewell to the Queen....God Save The Queen!  She will be sorely missed.  I pray for her country as her son steps in as King.  I pray that he honors her in his role and doesn't make a wreckage of all she's done and accomplished in her life as Queen.  We all have much to learn from those who have gone before and put their positive stamp on our cultures.  Prayers for her family as they mourn her passing.

Registered for the Grand Prix Final @ -49kg...

T is officially registered and going to the Grand Prix Final in Concord, NC and in a new weight division as well.  He will weigh in on the 16th and fight the 17th.  If he medals he will get to fight at team trials in January 2023 in the new weight division of -48kg for Jr's.  We have weighed him up a weight division because he's a last year cadet and will be a first year Jr next year.  The weight divisions unfortunately aren't even between the age groups.  Cadets -49kg and Jr's -48kg.  T all but begged us to make this change.  He wants to start getting experience now and see where he lands by weighing up a division.  He wants to start working things out now so that he can fight at his best when it counts next year.  He really won't have many tournaments after this one for the remainder of the year though.  It will give him time to train and get ready for what lies ahead.  T is so excited for what lies ahead and he loves his new school and coach and the freedom he has to weigh in, pun intended, on his wants and desires moving forward.  He never felt that he could do that with his last coach.  He felt stuck and didn't see any way of making his goals happen because he didn't feel he had a voice like he does now.  It is our prayer that, although his new coach, Master Doug, has a relationship with his old coach, Master Wasiu, that his new coach stays how he is now.  It's been very beneficial for T and made such a huge difference in our son.  He's the happiest he's been since GMaster Cann died.

Another Last Year vs This Year Moment...

Last year this time we hired a body coach for T after his stay in the hospital from his episode where he lost all the salt from his body.  We are so thankful for a friend who guided us to his body coach.  He has made such a huge difference in T.  Check this out:

Last Year vs This Year...

Here's a comparison pic from last year at the start of the school year to this year at the start of the school year.  So much change in just a years time.  He's went from looking like a boy to looking more like a man.  This momma is trying to be ok with all this change...LOL!!

Back 2 School...

T won't technically be back to school until after Labor Day but he's already doing a lot of review math work to get himself prepared for the school year ahead. He's changed so much since last school year. He doesn't even look like the same kid.

T’s 1st Cryo Therapy

T had his first Cryo therapy appointment today. He absolutely loved it and wants to do more sessions. Plus he got to do it with his buddy Braston. Next time I will have to do an interview type video of him doing it. This time we just got pics. I’m going to share links of what this therapy is about so you can read it for yourself. It’s really cool and I’ve been told from friends whose athletes do it that it’s been a game changer for them. We are gonna let T give it a whirl for 5 sessions because they give quite the deal for students😊.

It’s T’s buddy Braston’s birthday 🎉🎂🎈🎊 today. He turns fourteen. Same age as T. He’s as tall as T dreams of being…LOL!

Last Night at Training...

T had such a great time at training last night.  He is so incredibly happy right now.  He loves being at Core.  He really loves and respects his coach a great deal.  He talks to him.  He asks questions and gets clarification.  He never did this where he was before.  I'm loving this change so very much because I love seeing T really enjoying what he's doing.  Such a huge difference in him.  His dad and I shake our heads a lot wishing we had made this switch a long time ago.  His being this happy has been a game changer for him and for us.  Life is so much more pleasant.  We are loving being home and not traveling so much for training.  T is loving getting to work with his dad.  Life is just good.  #GodsPlanistheOnlyPlan
