Pics of Tim's New 65kg Clean & Jerk PR Lift....

Tim is so eager to move forward and do more weight.  We won't let him unless he gets the go ahead from his coach to do so though.  He wants to be lifting 70kg = 154.3 pounds by the end of the week.  That means the big red bumper plates.  He's so excited that yesterday he did an unofficial PR of 66kg out in our big building.  Scot and I could see how sneaky he was trying to be though and put a stop to it...LOL! We know nothing about this sport and are learning as he's learning so getting his coaches buy in is very important before he adds more weight to his training.

Mrs. Betty's Celebration of Life...

Yesterday afternoon I went to the celebration of life ceremony that they had for Mrs. Betty (my Sunday school teacher from when I was like 4 or 5 years old).  She was such a precious woman who could also be stern when she needed to be but she was also such a lady.  When I was little the way she carried herself made me think of how a queen carries themselves.  Very proper and always dressed impeccably.  She had no problem though putting people in their place if the need arose though.  Again just like a queen would do.  But she always prayed for everyone.  She always shared Jesus.  In her lifetime she must have touched hundreds of thousands of peoples lives for the Lord.  May she RIP!

Her youngest daughter was telling me that Mrs. Betty told her last week that she was going to be with Jesus.  There was a glow about her.  I believe she was already having glimpses of heaven and Jesus before she passed on.

New Equipment Videos...

Here's a video of Tim carrying it out to our big building and the next video is of him using it for the first time:

Tim has really found what he loves.  I can't remember ever seeing him this happy when he was doing TaeKwonDo sparring.  It's a different world and a different pace but Tim is the happiest that he has ever been.  We are so very happy for him and we were so happy to be able to get all the piece parts that he needed so that he could lift at home in our big building as well.  Now he will never have to miss a day of weightlifting.  We still need to build him a weightlifting floor but you'd think wood is made of gold with how much it costs these days...LOL!  Just glad that we have gotten this far and he can at least lift now.  Loving this new adventure we are on with Tim though.

Tim's New Equipment...

Tim got his IWF approved barbell yesterday.  We've been selling things we no longer need or use in order to get Tim what he needed to be able to lift at home when he needs to do so.  He is so thrilled.  The smile on his face says it all.

Been Playing with Canva...

Been playing with Canva and did this picture from Tim's first ever weightlifting meet.  Love all that Canva lets me do for personal and for our business.  I'm getting better each time that I get to spend time playing with it.  I am enjoying soaking up this Gold medal win from his first time competing and looking forward to all that God has in store for him as he continues to grow, learn and compete in this sport.  He has told his dad and I that he loves this sport so much more than he ever did sparring.

We had a professional photographer take some pics so that I could enjoy the Meet.  I'm sharing a link so that you can view all of the photos.  Some are from the photographer and some are from me.  Click on the pic below and it will take you to the link.

Corn Maze Fun...

Last night T went with our homeschool group to do a flashlight cornmaze.  We arrived before dark but I didn't take any pictures like I normally do.  The pictures that I will share are from online.   When you do the cornmaze you get to pick out a pumpkin.  T didn't want to pick one out so Scot picked one for us.  Scot and I sat around the fire eating s'mores with friends while the kids did the cornmaze.  It was nice to be out of the house for little bit last night reconnecting with some of our friends in our homeschool group.  Hoping to do more with them this school year.  Here are a few pictures that I got from online to give you an idea of the fun that was had.
