Believe It!

Jer. 29:11 is one of my favorite verses.  It says, "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord.  They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." (NLT)  This is something Scot and I do our best to drive home with T on a continuous basis.  Gods plan is the only plan that matters at the end of the day and we tell T that all the time.  Above all else that he may do in his life we strive for him to have a relationship with God where he makes Gods plan the only plan in his life.  It's really all that matters.  #GodPlanistheOnlyPlan

New Company Shirts Are Ordered!

We ordered our new shirts yesterday through a company that we have done business with for other things.  We have a really great working relationship with them.  The company is called Mission Impossible Printing.  We are looking forward to when they come in and we are wearing them when we go on projects.  We are loving how the branding is coming along.  This has been a long time coming and we've needed to do this for simply years.  To have it all coming together for us has been exciting to say the least.

New Business Cards....

We had to come up with new business cards to go with our new logo and branding.  We hadn't thought about branding and making a logo for the company until our friend made a logo for us and we loved it so much that we are putting it on everything for our business.  So the business cards we ordered a month or so ago are now going to be replaced with these when they come in.  Our friend Donna Allen came through for us once again with this design.  I just plugged in all the pertinent information.

Kukkiwon Expo 2022...

We were unable to attend this Expo this year because T was recovering from shin splints.  His Grand Master from his old school, Black Belt World, was a huge part of putting on this Expo.  The Kukkiwon President was in attendance as well as the Korean Demo Team who so many have seen live on TV.  Wishing we could have attended.  It is a rare occasion when all of the Lee Brothers are in one place together like this.  Grand Master Jun Lee is who has been T's Grand Master since he was 4 years old.  T hasn't seen he much in recent years at BBW because of his commitments with Kukkiwon.  T will always love him and have much respect for him.  I just wanted to share this picture here.  I did not take it or claim any rights to it.  You may have to click on it to see the picture in its entirety.

So Today We Ordered Company Shirts...

So today we ordered company tshirts.  I can't wait for them to come in and for the boys to be wearing them when they go on jobs together.  Exciting times.  Making changes.  Doing what's necessary to move our company forward.  Making our company relevant on the web.  Things are happening but more slowly than I would like.  It will all come together though.  As it does I will be sure to post pictures of it.

For now I will share a pic with you of the template we are using for social media for sharing client reviews.  We use this same basic design but change out the review each time.

The other template we are using is for creating ads to share on social media.  You will see the same basic design but each different one I make is promoting an area of our business.  For instance the pic I'm going to share with you now is promoting upholstery.  I write a comment to go with the picture when posting ads on social media sites.

Got an update on my niece today...

Got an update on my niece today that she is doing good and has made some friends at camp.  That put both mine and my mom's minds at ease.  She is so shy and that is totally opposite from how I was at her age...LOL!

Views From The Mountain...

These are views from on top of the mountain where my niece is at camp this week.  Love these views and could sit looking at them for hours.

My Guys...

Here's a pic of my guys that I got recently when we were getting some dinner out.  T is almost as tall as his dad sitting next to him...LOL!   The boy is growing!

Mountain Top Youth Camp...

My niece, Iris, is attending MTYC for the first time this year.  I grew up going to camp every summer on this mountain and loved every moment of it.  I have such great memories of my time there.  I received such great foundational teaching in the Word of God going to this camp.  Memories that I will cherish all of my life.  I am hoping and praying this camp can be that for my niece too.  She's shy though.  I'm hoping and praying some girls will reach out to her and make friends with her.  Pray with me that she makes friends quickly and that she has a great time this week.  Thank you.

This picture is taken outside the back of the chapel building.  The chapel area is upstairs while the dinning area is downstairs.

This is a pic of the mountain as we were leaving.

Lindsey Corrigan - USAT Olympic Hopeful

Lindsey was a resident athlete in the USAT program. A program that once upon a time our son desired to be a part of. His big goal was to represent the US at the Olympics someday. His goals have changed over the years with the ebbs and flows of doing this sport. I’m actually glad he no longer wants to be a part of the Olympic team anymore after reading what this young lady shared in the clips below.

What amazing courage this young lady, Lindsey, has shown to be so blunt and so honest about her experience. It’s also sad because this is what our Olympic hopefuls are dealing with. If it’s not this then it’s countless injuries that they are being encouraged to just push through and keep going.

Our son loves this sport but he will not ever again do it at the expense of his mental/physical health. Ever!  I applaud this young lady.  Our motto is “Do your best and leave the results in Gods hands!” At the end of the day that should be enough.  For some coaches though it’s not. They push and push and push and anything short of a gold medal means you lost. You’re not a winner. That is not the message we are giving our son or letting anyone else give our son anymore. In any sport these athletes should definitely aim for Gold but if they don’t quite get it that doesn’t make them any less of a winner. Because to get out there and do what they do on a daily basis is huge and way bigger than any gold medal they could ever earn.  I applaud 👏 all athletes. You do so much more than what others get to see and it should be recognized and applauded and appreciated more often.  You are all amazing young people.

Here’s Lindsey’s post from Instagram:

With posts like this that are put on social media we have very candid conversations with our son about this stuff. We talk about everything with him. We make sure his mind is in the right place.

This sport is not easy. Many of the coaches are very hard and tough. It’s the nature of the sport. It also sends a wrong message to parents that are trying to help their kids be the best they can be in this sport. There’s a ton of abuses that do go on though and those are what we try to be direct with T about.

T is in such a great place right now with his new coach/master. His mind is good. His body is healthy.  His “want to” is strong 💪 again. He’s thriving with his new coach/master and we couldn’t be more happy. Seeing him genuinely happy means the world to us as parents. It’s really all we want for him.   #GodsPlanistheOnlyPlan
