1st Step

Timmy took his first step yesterday. He did it a couple of times. It was only one step then down he went to crawl but he is trying so it won't be long before he is walking and running. Scot says, "then it will really be game on". I will be chasing him even more than I am now I'm sure. I sure am loving watching him exploring and trying things. I will try to get some pics, or even video footage (if I can figure out how to post it), of him walking and post it. Have a great day!

Bounce, bounce, bounce

Timmy has always liked playing with balls. Up until recently all the ones he has had have been small. We decided to get him a big bouncy ball and he loves it. Every time we put him down to play it's the first thing he goes for. Check out the pic below:

"Look what my Dada got for me. It's my favorite toy."

The cutest little boy in the world

Scot snapped this the other evening while I was feeding Timmy. He has the cutest smile and looking just like his Dada....lol.

"Hey Dada! I know I'm cute so go ahead and take the picture."

How are things in Mommy Land?

I get asked this question a lot and thought I'd blog about it. For the most part I love being a stay at home mom. There are times when I could climb the walls also. Up until I got married then pregnant I worked. I worked for the State of NC for about 16 years or so. When I wasn't working that job I had other part time jobs that I worked. So for someone that was used to staying busy all the time being a stay at home mom has had its frustrating moments. Not that I would trade it for anything else. I don't want anyone raising my children except me and Scot. There are too many kids out there that are being raised by everyone else but the parents and that's not how it should be. I may miss being busy working all the time and being on the go constantly but I'd rather miss it than have my child raised by someone other than me. So here in "Mommy Land" it's me and Timmy hanging out, playing, reading, and watching Handy Manny, Yo Gaba Gaba, and things of that nature. We get out on occasion but for the most part stay home. Timmy is a much happier little boy if he sticks to a routine. I'm sure that will go bye bye this summer as we will probably be more active and going more places. So probably the biggest thing I miss is adult conversation. You moms that stay home know how that feels. Other than that things are good. Timmy is a very active boy who keeps me on my toes so it makes it hard for me to get anything else done because I'm chasing him around all the time. I know what you are thinking too. Why doesn't she put him in a play pen? Yeah, right, tried that and it didn't work. I'd rather it be peaceful than to have to hear him screaming constantly. Yeah, that's what he does when he's in the play pen. If I had put him in it as an infant he'd probably like it. My bad. Now I know and I won't make that mistake with the next child should we have another one. We are still talking about that. You learn as you go but all you moms know that already. Anyhow, now the question has been answered. Have a great day! :-)

We've been told....

We've been told that we should rename this blog to "Timmy's Blog". I laughed when I heard that. I know we blog about Timmy for the most part. Everything that is a first for him is a first for us and we love to share it with you all. Especially our families that live so far away. So what do you think? Do you think we should rename the blog to "Timmy's Blog" or just leave it as it is? I'm sure we will probably keep it as it is but I thought it would be fun to see what you all thought.

Any Suggestions?

Because of Timmy's teething he has been biting us a lot. No matter what we've tried to get him to stop he still bites. If any of you have any suggestions of things to try please let us know. Thanks!

A Message of Hope continued.....

"A Message of Hope" our Easter Presentation at LWFC was Awesome! I was so glad to see such a great turnout for the event. The Creative Team did such a great job. There were so many people involved behind the scenes that I'm sure we didn't know about and to those people I want to say thank you for what you do. You make such a difference. Lives were saved and changed at this event. What a blessing to be a part of a church like LWFC who makes a difference in so many lives. I have grown so much in my walk with the Lord since being at LWFC. The teaching I've received there has been, bar none, the best I've ever had. If you live near by and were unable to get to the production, should they do it next year be sure to get by and see it. It's something that once you see it you'll want to go out and get your friends and family to come see it too. Thank you Lord for all the awesome talent that we have at LWFC. 11 Months Old and Timmy's 1st Easter

Timmy turned 11 months old on April 11th. It's hard to believe that he's going to be a year old on May 11th. At times it seems that this year has flown by and at other times it seems that it has been forever long. It's been so much fun watching Timmy go through all his changes. He is so close to walking now and has 8 teeth. He loves to explore and see how things work. He is going to be one of those kids who tries to take everything apart and I just hope that his Dad and I will be able to put back together what he takes apart. At least he gets it honest because his Dad was that way as a child. The pictures that you will be seeing below are from Easter Morning, April 12th. His Nan and Popsie bought him some Handy Manny toys. We bought some as well. The first toy he went for in his Easter Basket was the hammer. It makes sounds and talks just like on the show. His Maw Maw got him a bunny that sings Jesus Loves Me. He likes it a lot. Enjoy the pics.

"Oh Wow, this makes sounds and talks."

"I like listening to my hammer, Pat, make sounds and talk."

"Wow, I have a hammer and a saw."

"I sure like my tools. I'm holding my screwdriver and hammer. I love Handy Manny."

"OK Pat, let's dump the rest of the toys out of the basket."

Timmy and Dexter

These were taken on April 4th. Timmy and Dexter are teaming up in these photos.

"Hey man, don't touch the nose."

"Come on Timmy, that's what will get us out of here."

"Ok, seeing as we can't get out I'll just howl."

Safety Gates

So we don't have to chase Timmy all over the house we have put up safety gates to keep him in one room (mainly the living room) so that he will play and not get into mischief. Timmy has already found out where the handle is and he knows that it's what releases the gate so that he can go go go. Check these pics out:

"Please excuse my messy face. Mama didn't want to wipe it clean because if she did I'd get upset and she wouldn't have gotten this picture. Aren't I so cute?!"

"Alright, I know this opens it because I've seen Mama and Dada do it so come on and open so I can explore."

Walking with the help of one of his toys

Two days after Nan and Popsie left to go home Timmy started walking with this toy all by himself. He's becoming a real pro at it now.

"Look at me. I'm walking."

"This is so cool!"

"Now I'm going another direction. This is so much fun."

"Hey Mama! Hold on a minute and let me smile real big for you."

Stage 3 Baby Food

We decided to start trying stage three foods on Timmy along with some table food. He didn't like the stage 3 food at first as you can tell from the picture below but he is doing much better with it now. We have found that he also likes mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese, baked chicken, french fries, and hamburger. It probably won't take us long to make the switch over to table food.

"Here we go again. Awwww Mama why did you have to go and put that it my mouth? Yuk!"
