Winter Training Camp 2021

Winter Training Camp started today. T is so glad to be back with the team. Lots of work will happen these two weeks with the exception of the holidays.

New Glasses

Got my new glasses today. Wow what a difference.  I do believe I’m going to love the transition feature a ton. No more switching from glasses to sunglasses. It’s all in one now🥰.

Merry Christmas to Us

Finally had to lay to rest my old toaster oven that was given to me by my dad back when he worked in an appliance repair shop. It was left for a repair looking almost new and he brought it home and gave it to me. I’m sure this new one won’t have the longevity that my old toaster has had. The new one is also an air fryer. Looking forward to using that a bunch. Thanks mom for this🥰!!!  It’s been bittersweet knowing I was going to have to replace it.

Christmas with the Neal’s

We had great fun this weekend celebrating Christmas with my husbands side of the family. Even though we missed those who couldn’t be there we still had a lots of fun. I love seeing the kids get blessed at Christmas.  Here’s the pictures I was able to get starting with our Patriarch’s of the family Nan and Pop.

We love every moment that we get to spend with our family. It’s never enough. Visits are always so short. One day maybe we can have longer visits. 

Hair cut ✅

T got his hair looking good before we headed to Kentucky today for the weekend by his main man LaMeek👊.  He looks so sharp🥰. It was a detour to get it done. Nothing beats getting it done just the way you want it though. None of the barbers back home can hold a candle to LaMeek. 

Cary Marching Band at the Cary Parade Earlier Today

So proud of my nephew, Tristan, because he’s done so incredibly amazing in the marching band this year. And while I would secretly love to see him continue to do this next year he has made it clear that it’s not something he wishes to do again. I really hope that he continues in band though even if it’s concert band.  I love seeing him doing something so positive. So so proud of this kid.

Christmas Memories

Can’t believe this was 8 years ago.  That was beginners gear he’s wearing in the pic. His love for sparring along with the expense of his gear went up from there…LOL! 

Oh Christmas Tree…

How lovely are your branches…

This year we were late in getting the Christmas tree up but it is finally up. Since our house is so full with T’s workout/Sparring training equipment we just put the tree upstairs this year. When there’s no room in the downstairs of the house you put it where there is room…LOL!  So now T has a tree in his room and we have a tree in ours.  Besides it’s mainly just us here for Christmas because we always go to our families for the holidays instead of them coming to us. Now to get the presents wrapped and put under the tree😊. We have boxes everywhere…LOL! 

A Couple of Days In…

T is a couple of days into the braces and you can already see a difference. Look at the gap in his front two teeth in the pic below. 

5 Hours and He Broke A Bracket

T had his braces on for 5 hours yesterday and a bracket broke…LOL! Scot said there was so much pressure on that one bracket that it popped. He had to go in today to have it fixed. They did the glue better this time on that one. He’s feeling much better tonight. This afternoon I thought he was going to lose his mind he was hurting so bad…LOL! He even did sparring training tonight though because he was feeling better😁. 

Treadmill

T loves the treadmill that his Uncle Jeff let us borrow so he could get his running done indoors when it’s cold out. It’s a really nice Nordictrack C2255. 

The Braces Are On!

The blue things you see are to space his overbite so that he doesn’t clang his teeth on the braces and break them. 

Braces Here We Come!

T went in for his consultation today and will have his braces put on Wednesday. He’ll be there for two hours to get them put on for the tune of around $5,800 and some change. So thankful for payment plans for those things. The practice we chose is a Christ centered practice. If we’ve got to get this done we are glad it’s with fellow followers of Christ. Here’s a picture of what his smile looks like now. I’ll post a pic on Wednesday after he gets the braces on.

Pilot Mountain Update

Pilot Mountain has around 60 acres or so burning. We saw this as we passed through last night heading home from Kentucky. Seeing it live was surreal and the way it was glowing in the dark from the fire. Here’s a pic that was posted on Facebook of it. It got out of control fast because of the wind.

Fixing to have to drive through that area in about an half hour. Wonder what we will see when we do???
