Update on Mom

Mom had physical therapy today and because she was having sciatica issues she concentrated on helping her relax the muscle causing the issue. She thinks mom over did it on her exercises at home on Friday and that’s  why she had all her issues on Saturday. So a step backwards in order to move forward. She’s a trooper though.

Another Day Another Issue😕

Just another day. Scot is in the shop fixing an issue on the trailer that houses our carpet/rug/upholstery cleaning machine and equipment.

A video of Friday Evenings Training

Here’s a video of Friday evenings training. They did round robin sparring. T is the only one that is wearing TaeKwonDo shoes.

Way to Go Heel!

Oh my goodness what a game. So like crazy 😜 excited right now!!!   So loved 🥰 Coach K’s career ending losing to the Tarheels tonight but not just that but that the last two face offs with these teams ended with the Tarheels winning. What a way to go UNC!!!! So can’t wait for Monday night. Go Heels!!!!  Bring home the Big Win!!!!

Kick-A-Thon

T is participating in a Kick-A-Thon!!!

Hello everyone!  T will be participating in a kick-a-thon the first Saturday in May. This will be so that the school can raise money to purchase the electronic safety gear that is used in competition with USA TaeKwonDo. When this gear is used during training, the athletes learn how to effectively score points during competition.  Schools that train with this gear have a big advantage over schools that don’t.  To purchase a full set of gear (4 sizes of chest protectors & helmets and computer software) costs around $9,000.  We are rallying sponsors for this event.  If you would like to sponsor T any amount you can do would be greatly appreciated. The suggested amount for the kids is $1 per kick. Please make checks payable to Core TaeKwonDo.  Another option, if you don’t mind doing it, would be to Venmo or Zelle me your support and I can get it to the school. You’d need to private message me for the second option so I can give you whatever information you need to do it that way. If you want to do the first option and write a check you can send it to our address at: 6413 Robertson Pond Rd. Wendell, NC 27591 and we will turn it into the school. We are keeping a running list of names and pledge amounts so T can know how many kicks he will need to do. Let’s “go big or go home”, as the saying goes, and have T kicking a ton😁. May 4th is the deadline for sponsorship.

Update on Mom

Mom had her first PT appointment outside the house today. They'd been coming to the house and now I'm taking her to them. She had a really good PT appointment today. Her PT had her doing some laying down exercises and she did some peddling on the seated (like a chair) bike before she was done with PT today. She now has four new exercises to do😁. Progress is happening everyday.  It’s never without pain of course but no pain no gain. So proud of her progress. She’s doing so good.

In waiting room before her first on-site PT visit.

Doing exercises with PT.

Pics From Earlier Today

T had such a great time today at the NC Team Training. They had said they were going to chose team members today but that didn’t happen.  Not sure when that will happen but T had a really good day today. He fought so incredibly well. Enjoy the pics.

Check Out His Flex 💪

He’s flexing and not even trying to…LOL! Can’t believe the muscles he’s getting and he’s seriously not trying to gain muscle. It’s just happening naturally due to all his training.. Wow 😮!

Training Tonight at Core TaeKwonDo

Scot got some good video of tonight’s training session. T is looking better all the time. Between training with Master Doug at Core in the evenings during the week, with Master Wasiu in private training in the mornings during the week, and with the team at WOW on some weekends T is looking much much better. So much changing is going on as T matures and grows in this sport. Enjoy the video.

Dinner Out w/ Momma

We took momma out for dinner tonight. She’s doing so much better with her walking. Sometimes she gets too excited and moves faster than she should but overall she’s doing great.

She’s, however, had to deal with vertigo. She’s taking meds for it. Hoping the meds do what they need to do to get her past the vertigo.

T Doing What He Loves

This was taken yesterday. T is always so serious when he’s doing any TaeKwonDo training.  He told us a long time ago that there’s no smiling in TaeKwonDo…LOL!  He’s so happy not to be required to have to wear a mask anymore. He said, “I can breathe better now.” He loves his Daedo gear😊. #daedo #taekwondolife #growinguptoofast

New Thicker Wires

T got new thicker wires put on his teeth today. They seemed to be very pleased with how he’s taking care of his teeth.
