Fan Pride!

Me showing my fan pride as I watched the Canes sweep a 4-0 game series and knock the NY Islanders out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.  Canes advance to Eastern Coast finals. #I<3Hockey

On the Road Again Tomorrow

Tomorrow we hit the road heading to SC for the USAT SC Championship. T is excited to be competing. This past week T and I have worked out together. He ran while I speed walked. Here’s a pic of us after our workout earlier this week.

Water Heater Update

The new water heater is in place. The water really gets hot now. It was nice to finally take a nice hot shower at home and not have to go over to my moms house to take a shower. Scot is such a trooper. He has had a very full work week on top of replacing the water heater. He takes everything in stride and keeps on going. Such an amazing husband and father. We are so blessed to have him in our lives. We love him so much and thank God for blessing us with him everyday. And we have been very thankful to have hot water again. Life is good!!!

Water Heater

Well our water heater finally bit the dust. We started noticing issues with it back in December and Scot limped it along until it finally said I’m done yesterday. Now Scot replaces it. We went looking at replacements tonight and thought we were going to have a huge ordeal in replacing it but we found what we need to fit where we want it to fit. That was a huge blessing. And it was cheaper than what we thought we were going to have to pay for a new unit. It should be a quick switch out once Scot is able to make the time to put it in. Never a dull moment.

USAT SC This Weekend

T has been doing a lot of focusing on school, training, and watching motivational videos for his mental game. Always pushing forward. T has four competitors in his bracket so far for this weekend. One of which got bronze like him last weekend and is coming to SC because he thinks he can win and beat T. T needs to make sure he doesn’t have a chance in hades of doing that. It’s going to be game on this weekend at the tournament because both boys want those gold medal ranking points.

More USAT Virginia 2019 Pictures

Coach Dre did a great job with T.

T got several headshots on this opponent.

Got this picture today with Master Wasiu after team training. Master Wasiu is pleased with T’s fighting. He’s seeing improvements in his fighting and that means more to T than winning a medal any day of the week. T always strives to improve and get better. He wants to be the best he can be in this sport and he continues to train and do his best.

USAT Virginia 2019 is in the Books

T brings home Bronze today. He did a good job. Fought well and he learned a lot.

He had 8 in his bracket. He won his first round and lost his second round. At least the person he lost to won gold so that softened the blow of loosing a little. He’s so competitive though so it’s never easy for him to be happy with any medal other than gold. We put things into perspective for him though because 4 of the boys in his bracket went home with no medal today. Looking at the tourney in that point of view helped him see that he had a good day.

Daedo Gear Probs

So we found out that the extra Daedo gear that they ordered to host this tournament didn’t get here in time so we are dealing with only one ring with the electronic gear. We may have to go get some dinner and bring it back cause we’re going to be here a while. Insert sad face here.

T’s all ready to compete at USAT Virginia.

Good Turn Out at USAT Virginia 2019

Pretty good turn out at USAT VA. After getting past weighing in and getting credentials things have run smoother. Thank you God!!!

Update on USAT VA

Well, last night weigh in was a disaster. This morning when we got to the school for the tournament the doors were supposed to open at 8am. We stood outside until between 8:30-9 waiting for doors to open. T was supposed to be in holding at 10am. It’s 11:47 as I write this post and they are in holding but T’s age and weight division still hasn’t been called yet. Who knows when he will actually hit the mat to fight. Here’s a picture of T’s bracket:

We don’t know the first kid he’s fighting at all. He’s hoping to make it past the first and to get to fight the Thomas kid second round. The Thomas kid is who beat him at US Open. T is hungry to fight him again. Looking forward to seeing how everything shakes out in his division today. Dre is getting his first experience coaching today without his Master present. Hoping to get some great pictures and video today. Pray for both T and Dre that they have fun today, that T fights hard, and that they both come away from this experience learning something that will help them grow in this sport. Thank you to all who are praying for these guys.

T is Weighed in for USAT VA

T made weight. He fights in the minus 30 kilos which is 66 pounds and under. He was weighing 64.3 pounds when he weighed in. Woohoo!!!

The weigh in process though was fixing to make me loose me mind!   They were so unorganized. For this very administrative gal that was no good!!!  We are just glad it’s over and we’ve had dinner.

Now I’m ready to get back to the hotel and I’m praying they have the Carolina Hurricanes hockey game on one of their tv stations.

Next Tournament Coming Up

T’s next tournament is coming up this Saturday. He heads to Virginia on Friday for weigh in and fights Saturday. This time he has 8 opponents. Including him makes 9 that will be in his age and weight division.

Life is certainly busy. There’s never a dull moment. Keep us and T in your prayers as we have a lot going on from now until after Nationals with training and tournaments.

Mike and Popsie (Frank) after the Graveside Service at Mike's Home

Mike is Popsie's younger brother.  Sandy (who went to be with the Lord) is Mike's wife.  Thank you all for your condolences and prayers during this time of loss for our family.  It has been so appreciated.

A Few Extra Pictures from Easter 2019

Here are a couple extra pics that I was able to get of family members with our newest family member Victorie.  She's such a beautiful baby girl and we all love her to pieces.

Easter Pictures Taken at Church in Kentucky 2019

Although we hated the reason for the trip to Kentucky with Scot's Aunt Sandy going to be with the Lord we did enjoy some quality time with family.  Here are some pictures that were taken at church on Easter Sunday.
