I'm so excited for Tim's graduation coming up in May but it also saddens my heart because both his grandparents are gone and will be missed deeply at the ceremony. When I think of that my heart aches. My husband's parents were more parents to me than my own ever were. Even more than that they were absolutely wonderful to Tim. He loved them so much. I'm so very thankful for the years that Tim got to have with them making memories that will last him all his life. They are gone but they are never forgotten. They are always in our hearts and memories.

Martin Luther King, Jr Day!
Today marks Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Every year I listen to his "I Have a Dream" speech, delivered on Aug. 28, 1963, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. I listen to it because I never want to forget the great Americans who made a difference. Although he made several notable speeches my favorite will always be "I Have A Dream".
Here is a link to watch the speech in its entirety: https://youtu.be/OTwVbUJbQxk?si=N0FGrFMaYbdaJ-MP.
(Just an FYI, MLK was just a man. He made mistakes like we all do. Remember that when remembering him. His accomplishments in the civil rights movement outweigh all the areas where he missed the mark.)
Verse of the Day...
This verse hit home for me when I read it. It's hard to wait with faith and not frustration. I know I have had ample opportunity to be frustrated in waiting in Faith and I'd be willing to bet you have too. After all we are only human, right?! The only way that we can truly wait in faith is because although God's plans don't match our own they are better than our own - always!
ALWC March Madness Meet....
Tim will be attending his clubs weightlifting meet this year. It's rare that he does two Meets in one month so March will be busy for him. He's loves every opportunity that he gets to lift and grow in this sport that he loves so much. This will be his 2nd meet as a Junior competitor. We are looking forward to watching his growth this year.

The Bible Recap...
Verse for 2026...
This is the verse for 2026 that we are keeping before us. We always have a verse that we keep before us each year for that year. Last year it was Philippians 4:6-7 & this year it's Exodus 14:13-14. Egyptians = Obstacles. For the people Moses was leading the Egyptians were an obstacle. He made sure to tell them the Lord himself will fight for them & all they need to do is stay calm/be still. Man, that will preach. All too often we try to help God in our circumstances or obstacles we are facing when all he really wants us to do is stay calm/be still and allow him to fight for us.
