Buffaloe Lanes North Tour

Timothy got to tour the back of the bowling alley today and see how it all works. He really enjoyed seeing and learning about all that.

The bowling pins spin around this up into what you see in the picture below.

This is what the pins go into in order to get ready for the next round of bowling.

Getting Poised for US Open 2019

Well I got the news today from Grand Master Cann. She is looking to take T to the US Open in January 2019. She thinks T will be ready to attend and do well at it. Win or learn going will be a great experience for him because he will get to mix it up with international competitors. So now we put as much $$$ as we can back in savings to save up for that trip. Last year it was in Vegas. Not sure where it will be in January 2019. I’m sure we will soon find out. As of now T’s next tournament will be in Charlotte, NC on October 27th. He’ll be attending it with CK (Carolina Kicks). Looking forward to seeing how he fights after training with CK from now til then.

USA Weightlifting Youth Nationals 2024

Tim had a great 1st time out at Nationals. He did Meet PRs, Snatch 75kg PR + Clean & Jerk 95kg PR = 170kg Total PR! It was a great experience all around. He landed in 4th place after just 10 months in the sport. He loved every moment of being at Nationals. It's such a supportive, uplifting and encouraging sport. The atmosphere was electric with so much energy and support coming from the crowd for everyone that was lifting. Tim is so happy that he switched to this sport. We are happy and excited to support him in his journey.

Barbells and Sprinkles Spring Open 5/2024

Tim enjoyed attending this Meet. They only gave medals to the adult lifters and didn’t give the youth any😞. Tim had a good time regardless and lifted good😊. He made 5/6 lifts on the day. His best Snatch was 68kg/149.9#. His best Clean & Jerk was 90kg/198.4#. His total was 158kg/348.3#. It was his last Meet that he could compete in before USA Weightlifting Youth Nationals in June. Tim just loves to lift. He’s looking for consistency and making gains and he did just that. He felt much better competing with all the tweaks his coach has been doing to his form and breathing to get him ready for Nationals. He has been making immediate changes and practicing them at home a ton. We just love how much he is loving what he is doing. It just makes our hearts so happy😊.

Heaven's Gain Our Loss

Louise Holcomb Speckhart, 51, entered into her Heavenly home on Thursday, January 11, 2024. I take comfort in knowing that we will see one another in Heaven someday. This hymn has been on my mind since her passing. "When We All Get To Heaven": Sing the wondrous love of Jesus, Sing His mercy and His grace; In the mansions bright and blessed He'll prepare for us a place. Heaven Gained a Hero Aug. 16, 1935 to May 16, 2024 - 88 years old

It's hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember. Pop (Franklin Eugene Neal) was born in Ashland, KY. He graduated Thomas R. Brown High School and was a proud Army National Guard Veteran. He loved cars and working on them. He loved racing them with his boys, Jeff and Scot. He could fix just about anything. If he didn't have a tool for something then he'd make it. He valued family above everything. He loved traveling and going to amusement parks with his kids and grandkids, especially Disney World. He will forever be missed and forever be in our hearts! (this is not his official Obit)
