Painting Underway

We are in the process of giving our home a facelift. It hasn't been painted in almost 20 years. Here are some pics of what's been done so far:

Blue Jay Point Park Field Trip

Had a great time learning about bugs and catching bugs on the LH field trip on October 15th. Here are some picture highlights.

We went to Vollmer Farm on the 9th and had a great time with our homeschool group.

Timmy got to play the cow for the instructor.

Another baby tooth bit the dust

Recently another baby tooth came out. The bottom. His upper front tooth is loose too. Still waiting on it to come out:-).

Swim Lessons

I'm Timmy is getting his strokes down good at the Y. Luv'ing that he's learning so fast:-).

We had a field trip with our homeschool group to Hope Valley. It ended up being a rainy day so we didn't hang around and do anything else except for the train ride. Here are some pictures. Timmy has fun no matter what.

Reading Challenge

Timmy just completed a 21 day reading challenge for a pizza party with Black Belt World. Woohoo!!!

USA Weightlifting Youth Nationals 2024

Tim had a great 1st time out at Nationals. He did Meet PRs, Snatch 75kg PR + Clean & Jerk 95kg PR = 170kg Total PR! It was a great experience all around. He landed in 4th place after just 10 months in the sport. He loved every moment of being at Nationals. It's such a supportive, uplifting and encouraging sport. The atmosphere was electric with so much energy and support coming from the crowd for everyone that was lifting. Tim is so happy that he switched to this sport. We are happy and excited to support him in his journey.

Barbells and Sprinkles Spring Open 5/2024

Tim enjoyed attending this Meet. They only gave medals to the adult lifters and didn’t give the youth any😞. Tim had a good time regardless and lifted good😊. He made 5/6 lifts on the day. His best Snatch was 68kg/149.9#. His best Clean & Jerk was 90kg/198.4#. His total was 158kg/348.3#. It was his last Meet that he could compete in before USA Weightlifting Youth Nationals in June. Tim just loves to lift. He’s looking for consistency and making gains and he did just that. He felt much better competing with all the tweaks his coach has been doing to his form and breathing to get him ready for Nationals. He has been making immediate changes and practicing them at home a ton. We just love how much he is loving what he is doing. It just makes our hearts so happy😊.

Heaven's Gain Our Loss

Louise Holcomb Speckhart, 51, entered into her Heavenly home on Thursday, January 11, 2024. I take comfort in knowing that we will see one another in Heaven someday. This hymn has been on my mind since her passing. "When We All Get To Heaven": Sing the wondrous love of Jesus, Sing His mercy and His grace; In the mansions bright and blessed He'll prepare for us a place. When we all get to Heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We'll sing and shout the victory! Heaven Gained a Hero Aug. 16, 1935 to May 16, 2024 - 88 years old

It's hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember. Pop (Franklin Eugene Neal) was born in Ashland, KY. He graduated Thomas R. Brown High School and was a proud Army National Guard Veteran. He loved cars and working on them. He loved racing them with his boys, Jeff and Scot. He could fix just about anything. If he didn't have a tool for something then he'd make it. He valued family above everything. He loved traveling and going to amusement parks with his kids and grandkids, especially Disney World. He will forever be missed and forever be in our hearts! (this is not his official Obit)
