This was our project yesterday afternoon. Scot turned the closet in the playroom into a storage space for Timmy's toys. Now he has tons of room to play with all his trains.

LWFC Outreach Christmas 2011

This year our churches outreach was to the old folks homes near the church. We took some presents to Mrs. Grace Clark. Timmy had a great time talking with her. What a precious lady. So glad that our church did this outreach. So many people focus on doing things for the kids and making sure they have a great Christmas and our elderly get left out. This was a great outreach and learning experience for Timmy in giving.

Pullen Park just opened back up after being closed down for a many years. The upgraded the park and still kept they big train that you can walk through and play on, the boats, and the train ride that goes around the entire park. So glad that those things remained. The carousel house is really nice now but it is still the same old reliable carousel. Was glad to see that. The kids had so much fun this past Saturday playing and riding the rides. They will have to be a little older in order for us to take them on the paddle boats which they still had. The changes that they made to the park were really nice.

Grandmother Stergeon

This is Scot's mom's mother. The first picture is so precious because Timmy is giving his great grandmother a hug. It's the only great grandparent he's got. She is such a precious woman who just turned 93 this past July.

Early Christmas

We did Thanksgiving and Christmas with Scot's family the weekend of November 18th. Timmy had so much fun and he racked up on the gifts. These are only a few photos of what he got but he got even more.

This picture was taken Friday night when we arrived. The present was a batman batcave. Nan and Popsie got it for him. Timmy had been asking for this item for almost a year and was so very excited to get it.

And of course Timmy is also into spiderman right now so spiderman presents were in order.

Timmy loved the piano Nan and Popsie got him. It has received plenty of use already.

Mickey's space ship was another big winner with Timmy.

LWFC Family Fest 2011

Monday night we were suppose to have Family Fest but it rained so we did it on Wednesday night. The mats in front of all the blow ups were soaking wet so Scot had to hold the kids after taking off their shoes to get on the blow ups and had to get them at the end of them so their socks didn't get soaked. Timmy didn't like the idea of having to do all that so he just watched every one else having fun. He still had a great time just watching every one. I think my son is gonna be a people watcher like his mommy:-). The boys dressed as Buzz and Spiderman. Iris was dress as a kitten even though you couldn't tell it for her coat covering her outfit. They had such a good time and that is what counts.

Aj's Birthday on Tuesday

Tuesday we went over to Aj's house to celebrate her birthday. Her mom made cupcakes. Yummy!!!! I got some pics of her opening her gifts from us. Charlie, Aj, and Timmy had so much fun playing together. Paula and I had a good time visiting with one another. It's always nice to have time to catch up with one another since we don't get to hang out as much as we would like. It was a great day!

After Mommy gutted the pumpkin Daddy and Timmy had lots of fun carving it. Timmy is such a sponge right now. He soaks up everything he is learning and wants to do it over and over again. He would have kept carving 'til there were no more pumpkin left to carve...lol. Had to go get a fake tea candle today because he wanted to put it in his room last night and we had to explain that we can't do that with a real flame in it. Now he can have it in his room tonight. He is gonna be so happy about that.

We did a happy face on the pumpkin because Timmy wanted him to look nice and not like the scary ones that he has seen in the stores. What a tender spirit he has. If we would all learn from that and get back to having a tender spirit when it comes to those kinds of things. Whether it's with things like this pumpkin or the movies or tv we watch. There is so much junk out there that we allow in our spirits that make us desensitized. What lessons we learn from our little ones.

Took the opportunity to go to the Zoo today. It was Timmy's first time at the Zoo and he enjoyed every moment of it. It was hard to get him to go from one exhibit to another. The Giraffe's were his favorite part of the Zoo because he got to interact with them as you will see as you look through the pictures that we took. Enjoy!

Went to the Fair yesterday. It was a long day but the kids had a blast. Here are some pics:

Iris swimming without having to be held!

Saturday we took the kids swimming and I thought I'd try to get Iris to balance on her own with her swim vest on. It's not as easy to balance in one of those as it is in a puddle jumper but she's still too small for a puddle jumper. Iris was all over the pool once she got the hang of balancing in the vest. It was so much fun to watch her.

Joyce Meyer Conference Raleigh,NC

Got to attend two nights of the Joyce Meyer Conference. It was such a blessing to able to attend the conference. I'm so thankful that I have a husband who blesses me and had two nights of Daddy and Timmy time while I attended. I was able to sit 2nd row thanks to my good friend, Sheri Moritz, who blessed me and several of my friends with those seats. We all had such a good time. Here are just a few pics that I was able to get at the conference:

It has been since I was 12 years old since I had driven a four wheeler and I was somewhat nervous being back on one again. This is my second trip up that hill. You can't tell it in the video but there is quite a steep hump where I had to get over without rolling the four wheeler. The first time I attempted going up it I had to back down the hill because I didn't judge it right or go up it the correct way and had to do it again. So it took two tries to get up the hill the first time but the next time around Scottie video taped me going up and getting it right...lol.

We had a great time at the beach with the Laughinghouse's and Chenda and her son Darion this past weekend. The boys had a great time playing together. We all had fun playing in the ocean but I think the men had the most fun in it. Us women were keeping an eye on our boys of course. It was fun to catch some sun rays on my white skin....lol. Timmy went out farther than he ever has in the ocean. He didn't care to do a repeat performance though so that I could get a picture...lol.

The Caverns were our last stop on our way back home last weekend. Tristan had a blast walking through them but Timmy didn't like them very much because it was dark inside. But he did pretty good going through there as long as Scot or I were holding him. We crammed a lot into our weekend in the mountains but it was worth it. We all had a great time!

In the first pic you are looking at Grandfather Mountain. The Mile high bridge is between two of the far right peeks. All this we can see from the deck of the cabin. It is sooo Awesome! The pictures really don't do the view justice.

Lots of fun was had today. We went swimming and had a cookout. The kids had such a blast. Tristan and Timmy are big time more confident in the water this year. We are all so proud of the boys. Iris is loving her floatation device. She wants to keep up with the boys but she is still too small to do that yet.

Went swimming, ate, and now it was time to watch Princess and the Frog. The boys first time watching it and they were hooked. Those of you that know Timmy know that's saying something because he doesn't sit still to watch much of anything but he sat still to watch the whole movie. He may have been too tired to move anymore...lol.

Took the kids to the park with Maw Maw. Little Miss Iris was doing her best to keep up with the boys. She did a pretty good job too...lol. Timmy and Tristan got on the big kid swings. I'm so proud of them!

In This Life

So many people will tell you that we aren’t promised tomorrow. So why waste our time on things that don’t really matter. Life carries so many things with it. Hurt, pain, joy, happiness, sadness, fulfillment etc…. We have so much to live for but the most important thing to live for in this life is God! I am so very thankful for my relationship with God. I’m thankful that Jesus lived. That he died. And that he rose again so that I could have eternal life with him. To instill that into the lives of those we know and love should be our ultimate goal while on this earth. Letting those we know and love know how important a relationship with God really is is the only thing that is really important. We have so many goals. To have a good marriage. To raise children who love others, respect others, and love God. We want a place to call our own. A good job. To live in content without having to be concerned about financial issues. That would be an ideal world but we don’t live in a world that is ideal. We live in a world that is on a collision course. One day we are all gonna leave this world. We are gonna live in eternity in either heaven or hell. That is ultimately what we need to be concerned with in the here and now. Where are you gonna live? Me, I’m gonna live with Jesus in heaven and for him on this earth. My life, strength, hope, is in the Lord! I hope yours is. Jesus is Lord and He is Alive! He loves us and wants what is best for us!

There’s nothing like having a health scare (like I had a couple of weeks ago) to get you to put the things that are really important into perspective. So often we don’t think about what can or could happen. We don’t think about how short our time truly is on this earth. Our time truly is short and we don’t need to waste our time. Right now my mission field has been my family. Have I been the best witness to my family that I should be for God? No. Do I want to be? Yes. Am I gonna make changes in my life that will reflect that? Yes. Why? Because it’s what is done for the Lord that lasts. Nothing else matters.

I want my son to grow up to be an awesome man of God like his Dad. I want to be the best wife that I can be to my husband. I want to be the best daughter, sister, and Aunt that I can be for my family. I want to be the best friend I can be to my friends. I want them all to see that a life lived for Christ is the best life ever! I hope you want the same for your family and friends too. Otherwise where is the purpose in life? Making a difference for the Kingdom. That's my goal! I love you Lord Jesus and I thank you for every moment that I have on this earth to serve you and to show your love to others!

FYI on things with Me

Since so many people know about what has been going on with me I thought I'd do a blog to let everyone know that I'm OK.

Last Tuesday I had an episode happen that I thought could be my heart. I went to the doctor and they did an EKG and there was what I call a blip on the reading. That blip could mean many things or nothing at all so they sent me from the doctors office to the ER where eventually they kept me over night and ran blood tests plus did an echo cardiogram. They sent me home after finding nothing with my going to Cary Cardiology the next day to do a stress test which went well too. So they were able to rule out my heart but I still wasn't feeling right so I went for a follow up visit with my doctor yesterday. She said I have a sinus inner ear infection which is causing vertigo and gave me meds for it. So once the meds take effect she said the vertigo should go away. She told me what I really need to do is rest to which I responded, "you have met my son right?!"...lol.

This has been quite a week but I'm dealing and moving forward. What the devil means for my harm God turns to my good and for His glory. God is being glorified through all of this. I'm praising Him regardless of this interruption that has taken place in my life. Thank you all for your continued prayers. They are greatly appreciated!!!

Timmy wasn't sure what to think of all the Easter surprises that he got this morning at his Aunt Elaine's. He is still learning about this part of Easter. He has sure enjoyed playing with his Buzz, Woody, Toy Story Camera, and Golf Clubs. He's also been enjoying watching "We're Back" that his Uncle Jeff, Aunt Debbie, and Cousin Corey got him. And that's just the big items that he received. He got lots of stuff:-).

Popsie helped Scot with the fence this week and when they got all done Timmy had a whole day with his Popsie and Nan getting their undivided attention. Timmy loved that!!!

The Fence Is Done!

Thursday we got the fence finished. Friday Timmy and Dexter got to run and play. While I was taking pictures of the fence Timmy and Dexter made a run my direction. If you look close at the first picture you will see our dog and Timmy running towards the gate. In photo two you will see them trapped behind the gate and fence. In the third photo Timmy is trying to get out. In the fourth one he tried to climb but realized there was no use. In the last photo you see a defeated little boy because he couldn't get to the outside of the fence. But I'm a happy mom because the dog and Timmy are safe from our 55 mph road way.

Timmy's birthday is coming up in May and we just ordered this for his birthday. We have already bought the toy story helmet and knee pads for him to go with it. He is going to be sooo excited.
